My basic fee

I charge £25 per hour, and generally when I am working directly with a client I do 6 hour sessions, which is long enough to get a significant amount of work done, and not so long that everyone is getting worn out by the end, and quality suffers.

It is no problem at all to simply book a 6 hour session and see how far we get in that time. Often I can put together the music, and record all vocals and give you a mix away with you. Generally this would benefit from further time spent on it, but will be absolutely complete sounding nevertheless.

Songwriting

This is by far the hardest one to gauge since a song can come together fairly quickly or it can take a while, but since we are actually working on the backing track while we write, we are actually doing two jobs at once. Therefore at the end of a session you would leave with a version of the song recorded with at the very least a guide vocal

Backing Track

Creating the music for your song from a clear brief.

Vocal Recording

A typical vocal recording session takes around 3 hours, in this time we would record a number of takes of each section, edit it all together and do whatever tweaking and tuning we needed to do.

Mixdown

If you are supplying me the parts to mix down a track you have recorded yourself then this can take between 6 and 8 hours depending on the particular track

If I am mixing down a song I have already created the backing track for, then typically a 4 hour session will cover that.
